Brighton

Situated on the South Coast, Brighton is one of the largest and best loved seaside towns in the UK. Brighton, and Hove its nearby neighbour, have been popular tourist destinations since the railway brought tourism and day trippers to the seaside in the 1800s. Many of its grandest hotels were constructed by the Victorians who built the West Pier (now sadly destroyed by fire and decay) and Brighton Pier which is still a popular tourist attraction today.

Other attractions in Brighton include the famous Brighton Pavilion, the Volks Railway (the Worlds oldest working electric railway) and numerous museums, cinemas and theatres. Brighton is also famed for its shopping ‘Lanes’ filled with antiques and collectables and its lively nightlife. During the summer months there are a host of outdoor events and live music concerts many of which centre on Brighton’s extensive seafront and pebble beach.
